Children are meant to learn through play. When children are actively engaged in hands-on, interactive learning activities, their creativity flourishes. Snapology engages children using LEGO® bricks, K’Nex and technology. While the kids are having fun with familiar toys, laptops and iPads, we sneak in the educational concepts!  Snapology's mission is to provide children an opportunity to engage in "playful learning" activities that will stimulate their creativity and spark an interest in learning.Amusement Park Engineering & GameBots RoboticsAmusement Park Engineering: In Snapology's Amusement Park Engineering, participants will collaboratively design their own amusement park! Learn how to use LEGO® bricks and other building materials (including motors and gears) to make coasters and other awesome rides. Can you design the next Disney World!GameBots Robotics: In Snapology's game-focused robotics program, your engineer will explore the basics of robotics while playing some really awesome games with and against their classmates! While working with a partner to complete various challenges, your student will be taught how to effectively utilize sensors, how different mechanical components work in their robots, and how programming is a challenging but rewarding skill that they can master with just a little practice. We will support them in the development of their coding and building skills and inspire them with creative building challenges and awesome games! Animation Studio & Mega Machines RoboticsAnimation Studio: Create amazing movies with stop motion animation using LEGO® bricks. Children will work in teams to produce their very own movie complete with dialogue and sound effects. Movies are uploaded to a secure site for family and friends to see how cool they are!Mega Machines Robotics: In this machinery-focused robotics program, your engineer will explore the basics of robotics while building some pretty spectacular vehicles with their classmates! While working with a partner to complete various challenges, your student will be taught how to effectively utilize sensors, how different mechanical components work in their robots, and how programming is a challenging but rewarding skill that they can master with just a little practice. We will support them in the development of their coding and building skills and inspire them with creative building challenges.
 
9:30 AM - 10:15 AM    Music Together with Pakachoag Music School Summer Sampler - Music & Movement Summer Sampler
Music Together (R) summer session provides a sampling of Pakachoag's school-year Music Together program. While a shorter session, all families receive a take-home Music Together song book. Children explore and develop pitch through singing; and rhythm through movement. Parents/Caregivers serve as role models through their participation during class. No previous music experience is needed to join! Classes are designed to be fund and are based on weekly curriculum that encourages music growth, exploration, and memory development through repetition of songs and activities.  VISIT THEIR WEBSITE TO LEARN MORE AND REGISTER!

Students work with a director/choreographer and music director over the course of two weeks to present a junior production of a Broadway show. Broadway Junior musicals are condensed versions of classic musicals, custom-tailored to the needs of young people. The music is written in keys that are appropriate for developing voices. Students will attend daily classes where material from the show will be used to teach them skills in areas of music, drama and dance. To culminate the experience, there will be a 60-minute performance of the Broadway Junior musical for friends and family. Directors: Julie Morris, Rachael Rossi.Please note: this program runs MONDAY-THURSDAY both weeks*Please note: there is a $10 late fee for all registrations received less than 1 week prior to the start of the program*
